Good news for turning our waste into fuel, protecting our world from climate change….and much more! A new ready-to-use renewable energy source for generating power and fueling vehicles — poop! It’s possible now to extract and refine natural gas from the methane emitted by human and animal waste thanks to rapidly advancing “digester” technologies…putting this methane to valuable use instead of allowing it to escape as a polluting greenhouse gas. Special correspondent Dan Boyce of Inside Energy and Rocky Mountain PBS reports.
